Making a rubbish day look awesome

Today has been a pretty productive day, not so much as initially planned, but not bad nether the less.

The first job of the day was a floorplan, siteplan and basic photo package for a holiday let. The weather had other ideas though, wet and misty is not going to sell the Highland Escape dream is it! So I rattled off a floorplan and will sort out a siteplan - which may need updated with the structure - but I have a plan for that! The photos will wait for a nice day to come along, perhaps early spring when there is a wee bit of greenery around would be nice! This change is plans semi-derailed the plans for the second job as I had suddenly found time to kill! However, I do quite like “bad weather” and had a nearby subject that I have been wanting to photograph for a couple of years that would suit it nicely…

Then it was back to Drum to tackle the second job of the day, a 2 bed cottage near the school. It was an empty, which makes shooting easy in the sense that I don’t have to work around clutter and it does speed up the shoot… but it also makes it hard to really convey how the house feels and works. The weather was also disapointing still, which doesn’t lend itself to highly attractive sales photos. I spent an age working the files though and turned a drab, grey day into a sunshine and joy!
