Day Three!

The week is continuing with it’s busy theme, which is great. Today was the first of a double-header of direct jobs for one of the more prestigious agencies based in the region - something I am hoping to build on this year to shift my workload more upmarket on balance (don’t get me wrong, I have no problem shooting bedsits and run down ex-council properties - but that isn’t where you gain recognition within the industry, unfortunately. I do put as much effort into the properties at the bottom end of the market as I do a castle though, I just haven’t worked out how to get those images recognised by national and international bodies!)

I guess, in some ways at least, I do have ambition… I am a wee bit driven… as I really want to reach the point where I can put out a body of work that is widely recognised and is something of a legacy to leave behind. I have many ideas for this kind of body of work, so many thoughts about subjects and techniques… but without the recognition putting it all together is considerably harder if not near impossible and then finding a way to market it is even harder. When the demons of self-doubt aren’t hounding me I know I have the capability to put something really special together where I can really let my creative and artistic side run free… unfortunately they have a habit of biting hard, particularly at times like this when work coming in is incredibly sparse.

Anyway - this was today’s job, whilst the house itself was quite modest and the decor was perhaps speaking to a different time, the setting was absolutely lovely!
