Property Photography
The main crux of our commercial work is property photography. Sales, lettings, short term lets and commercial operations such as hotels, B&Bs and Glamping sites. These are some examples of what sets us apart from the competition, and what will set your property apart in a crowded market place to win you more viewings, more sales and better completion prices!
Environmental Photography
These are the photographs that sell the area - they can encompass anything from the local environment to street views to show the setting of the property and make the most of any features. Here in the north of Scotland we are blessed with striking landscapes and small settlements that give easy access to the wider outdoors so we try to convey this using much wider shots of the home through both traditional, ground based, photography as well as the use of drones. As an award winning landscape photographer, this is an area we can really add value to the property listing and grab some attention in a crowded market.

Exterior Photography
Exterior photogrphy is all about the fabric of the building and it’s kerb appeal - this is a closer view than the environmental shot draws the prospective client in, potentially this is the most important photograph of the set as it is often the principle image used in a listing. Again, these can incorporate ground based and aerial photography.
As a responsible UAV operator you can rest assured that we carry all the authorisations and insurance required to operate in this sphere, and operate both in the smaller, sub 250g, catagory as well as the larger devices equipped with higher end cameras to ensure the best possible results for any given scenario. There are times where drone operation is impossible or illegal, in these instances we are still able to offer an elevated service when required through the use of a 10m tall pole and fixed camera.
With our external photography we will also look for unique or interesting features to close in on for some more detailed images.

Interior Photography
The grand entrance
This is the first shot in the series, the entrance hall can really set the scene for the home and series yet it can be a very difficult photograph to make compelling. The entrance can often incorporate staircases, another tricky feature to capture well, and are often quite heavily personalised and characterful with sometimes limited natural light!

public rooms
These are often the statement rooms of a property and provide the “wow” factor to many an interior. Features such as fireplaces, feature lighting, large windows with dramatic views and other key elements are incorporated into these spaces making them a prime focus for interior photography.

The Kitchen and dining rooms
This is the heart of the home and can be either a cosy, homely space or a stylish statement. The photography has to reflect the feel of the room to make the space a compelling feature of the home and a key selling point in one of the most important rooms of the home. The dining room is often an extension of the kitchen, or a part of it, which can provide further challenges for photographing these rooms and often inform how they should be approached creatively.

The Bedrooms
These rooms are the intimate spaces of the home and we photograph these to feel like sanctuaries from the hectic lives outside. The images have to reflect the calmness of the space to convey the feeling of a refuge from the stresses of the day.

The bathroom
This is by and large the hardest room of the home to photograph well, they are often small spaces with a lot going on yet we want our bathrooms to be places to relax and often luxuriate. Making a small space seem both intimate and luxurious can be a challenge, but one that we relish as a good bathroom photograph can substantially enhance a listing’s impact.

Garden rooms and conservatories
These spaces are different from the rest of the home, generally flooded with light and defined by their views out into the gardens beyond, and hence requiring a different approach to the rest of the interior.

The Garden
The final section of the home, and more often than not the last area photographed. The garden is another of those key selling points, whether it is a small courtyard area for an intimate barbeque, a family space where children can play or even a grand formal garden to impress! Any outdoor space can add significant value to a property, and hence it is a key area to get right photographically!

The lifestyle photography
Where there is an appropriate view or feature of a property it can act as a key to sell a dream. These photographs don’t necessarily feature in every shoot, but when they are present we will always try and provide some of this type of image.

All photographs in this portfolio have been taken within the last year and will be changed and updated regularly. Many have been taken in only the last few months and we will be particularly focussing on refreshing the garden images as the weather improves!
Edits are purely stylistic or removing stray bits of clutter. We do not change the fabric or setting of the building to ensure a fair and accurate portrayal of the property at all times.
