I Love an Old House

Today started with a trip to the vet with Magnus, he is fine - just a check up… and they were happy with him. Considering that 2 years ago we thought we were going to lose him through illness he is now a stonking 6.1kg chonker! He is deeply unimpressed about the trip though and is now ignoring me!

This was followed by an agency job to shoot a lovely old 3 bed cottage just down the hill from us in Drumnadrochit. I am really hoping that this gets bought up by someone who lives or wants to live in the village rather than as a holiday let! I am supposed to shoot these in the style of the agency - single shot with flash - but that kills the atmosphere so I tend to go rouge! The exteriors are all shot RAW single frame and the interior is shot as a 3 frame HDR jpg, so it’s still an in camera jpg but I have set it up to retain as much character as possible! Direct clients tend to get bracketed RAW shots to HDR with window pulls, although I can also offer “flambient” techniques if requested (I just find that works better on modern appartments rather than old cottages in the Highlands!)
